30348 Lego City bag

The past few weeks have been very busy. As much as I wanted to review a bigger set or make a short stop motion film, I just didn’t have the time. That is why I took one of the small bags I have left and built it.

The set is so small, it doesn’t have a name. it is just Lego City set 30348. According to the image on the front, it contains a minifig, a Quad vehicle and a fence.

Everything looks easy and simple enough. The instruction fit on a single sheet of paper.

Building

This bag took me all about 5 minutes. That was with my kids hanging around asking when they could play with it. As well as checking where the pieces of the fence were. You can see in the pictures that the fence is missing a light on top and a stand on the bottom.

This was the first time some pieces were missing. In all fairness it looked as if the bag had been opened before so I doubt this was an actual Lego company mistake.

Even though this is just a small bag, it offers a lot to play with. The moving parts on the Quad make it very interactive. The minifig has three tools to work with. With a little imagination, you can go all out with this bag.

Missing pieces

I checked out out the lego.com website and they even have a service to report broken and missing pieces so you can get them replaced. This, I think, is an awesome service but I really wonder how often it is actually used. My set was missing two pieces but than that may have been because the set had been opened before.

Have any of you ever had a set missing pieces and did you use the Lego service?
