You may have noticed that I have not been very active blogging lately. In fact I have not been doing much with Lego® at all. That is something I want to change. A while back I wrote a post with my wishlist of Lego® sets. Most of the sets on there are pretty big and expensive. The highlight being the UCS Millennium Falcon. 7541 pieces, currently going for €699.95.
Since I don’t have the money to just buy it, I figured I could go another way. The instructions and part lists are freely available. I was thinking I could just start building it and buying the various parts along the way.
Good plan, right?
I thought so, but then I started thinking this is the first time I’m attempting something like this. Maybe starting out with the biggest Lego® set to date is not the best plan. So I figured, perhaps I’d better start out with somewhat smaller set, but still challenging, the number 2 on my wishlist, Marvel Super Heroes, The SHIELD Helicarrier 76042.
It is still 2964 parts and a bunch of minifigs. For this project I’m going to skip the minifigs and focus on the carrier itself.
I will be keeping track of this project on a separate page.
